Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been an accomplished professor of psychology since 1993 and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name has been recognized for her pioneering work in studying witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in legal settings. Professor Goodman has published extensively she has received grants from numerous sources and been recognized with numerous national and international distinctions. She consults with numerous countries and agencies around the globe regarding policy and the research of child victimization in the court system. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has been a member of several professional associations such as that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) She was a founder member of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
